Finix and Cybersource, a Visa Acceptance Solution have launched an integration that enables merchants to combine Cybersource’s gateway and plugin capabilities with Finix's payment platform for processing, settlements, reconciliation, reporting, and payouts.
The integration is aimed at merchants seeking to retain existing Cybersource configurations while updating the underlying infrastructure that powers their payment operations. It connects Cybersource's acceptance capabilities with Finix's platform, giving merchants a single view of activity across online, in-person, and cross-channel transactions.
How the integration works
Merchants onboard through Finix and configure Cybersource during the setup process, after which they can begin accepting payments through their preferred plugins or partner tools. Finix then handles processing, settlements, payouts, and reconciliation, with transaction-level data accessible via the Finix Dashboard.
The integration is compatible with Finix's no-code, low-code, and API-based tools, including Payment Links, Checkout Pages, and in-person terminals. This positions the solution for a range of merchant types and technical environments, from those requiring minimal development resource to those with more complex integration needs.
Addressing infrastructure migration friction
A recurring challenge for merchants using established payment setups is the operational risk and disruption associated with replacing core processing infrastructure. This integration addresses that directly by allowing merchants to preserve their Cybersource gateway configuration while replacing what operates beneath it.
A company official noted that businesses often remain with legacy processors because overhauling the full payment stack appears too disruptive, and that the partnership is designed to allow upgrades to backend infrastructure without requiring a complete replacement of existing tools.
