Solidgate has added BLIK Recurring and BLIK Pay Later to its Polish payment infrastructure, extending its existing support for one-time BLIK transactions.
The payment orchestration provider said the additions allow merchants to process recurring and deferred BLIK payments within their existing checkout setup, without needing a separate provider or additional integration.
BLIK's position in the Polish market
BLIK is an account-to-account mobile payment scheme used in Poland, allowing customers to confirm payments directly from their banking app using a six-digit code instead of entering card details. The scheme is built into the majority of Polish banking apps, which has contributed to its use for online, in-store, and person-to-person payments across the country.
According to figures cited by Solidgate, BLIK processed more than 2.9 billion transactions in 2025, with a total value of approximately EUR 104.9 billion. The scheme has more than 21 million active users. Poland is described as one of the fastest-growing ecommerce markets in Europe, with BLIK forming a significant part of its online payment infrastructure.
Recurring and deferred payment options
BLIK Recurring is intended for subscription and auto-charge payment models. Customers confirm a BLIK code once to set up a payment mandate, after which subsequent charges, which can vary in amount and frequency, are processed automatically without requiring re-authentication for each transaction. Solidgate said BLIK recorded 1.6 million recurring transactions.
BLIK Pay Later allows customers to defer payment by up to 30 days, with the transaction confirmed via a BLIK code in their banking app. Solidgate said the integration for merchants is backend-only, with funds transferred upfront while the deferral period is managed by BLIK. The average basket value for BLIK Pay Later transactions was approximately EUR 59, compared with around EUR 38 for standard online BLIK payments. Solidgate also reported year-on-year growth of 440% in BLIK Pay Later usage.
Availability for merchants
BLIK Recurring and BLIK Pay Later are available on request to merchants already using Solidgate's infrastructure, the company said. Merchants not currently working with Solidgate who are seeking BLIK coverage in Poland can contact the company directly.
The addition of recurring and deferred payment flows reflects a broader use of BLIK beyond single, immediate transactions, as merchants operating in Poland look to support subscription models and instalment-style purchasing within a single payment setup.
